2. The Snow Girl

In 2010, a family watching a parade in Málaga loses their young daughter in the crowd. CCTV footage shows the girl being led off by a stranger, and despite the best efforts of the police and her family the trail soon goes cold.

Young and untested investigative reporter Miren Rojo feels that her own traumatic history gives her special insight into the case, and she manages to make contact with the family. Over three different timelines (in 2010, 2016, and 2019) the case is revisited with Miren turning over new evidence in this Spanish-language thriller.

3. Trial by Fire

4. Class

Netflix India hit it out of the park with this crime thriller about three lower-class students who become scholarship attendees at Delhi's most prestigious private school. As the trailer tells us, this is a place full of 'spoilt kids from weird families'. The presence of the scholarship students amongst their filthy-rich peers quickly sets off a chain reaction of jealousy, attraction, rage… and murder.

5. Kohrra

Another 100% fresh crime drama from Netflix India, Kohrra follows two investigators as they try to solve the case of a body found in the middle of nowhere. The corpse in question was Paul, a non-resident Indian who lived in London but has returned to finalize an arranged marriage. Meanwhile Paul's English best friend Liam has gone missing, turning the whole case into a thorny political mess.

6. The Law According to Lidia Poët

Loosely based on the true story of Italy's first female lawyer, this new Italian-language series follows the firebrand Lidia Poët. In her first few days as a member of the bar, Lidia's gender causes her to promptly lose her license.

Lidia takes a job with her brother's law firm, where she investigates cases on his behalf while privately fighting to be reinstated as a lawyer.

7. Dear Child

When a frantic, barefoot woman gets hit by a car one night, police don't take long to identify her as Lena Beck, a woman who has been missing for 13 years. They soon unravel a horrific story: Lena has been held captive all this time by her kidnapper.

But just when you think we're solving the crime awfully early, the twists just keep coming. Lena's parents insist that's not their daughter, and there's something very strange going on with the two children who say that they are Lena's kids – but share no DNA with her.
