MCU Phase Five is already upon us, and we couldn't be more excited.

However, let's remember the masterpieces of Phase Four and see which ones made Marvel the biggest bucks!

7. Black Widow ($379.8 million)

Natasha Romanoff's time to shine finally came in 2021, but it was darkened by a few questionable decisions. First, its $200 million budget was surprisingly large by MCU standards, considering the movie was a much smaller one in scope.

Second, the big bosses decided to release the movie in theaters and on Disney+ at the same time, which affected Black Widow's commercial success, as it only made $378.9 million at the box office.

6. Eternals ($402.1 million)

Marvel had high hopes for Eternals, introducing a lot of new characters to the universe, but it wasn't enough to make a compelling story bring millions home.

With an impressive budget of $236.2 million for what-could-have-marked-the-start-of-a-new-trilogy, the movie didn't even double the numbers at the box office, making only $402.1 million.

Well, Marvel has had a lot of successes over the years, so a flop or two were bound to happen at some point.

5. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ($432.2 million)

With a budget of $150 million, this movie ended up earning more than the previous two, and it also received more critical acclaim.

The martial arts superhero thriller took home $432.2 million and got a 91% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It may not be the most beloved movie in the MCU, but it certainly gave the universe a much-needed refreshing spark.

4. Thor: Love and Thunder ($ 760.9 million)

Who doesn't love Thor? That was probably what Marvel thought, taking a safe bet on the fourth Thor movie – and they weren't wrong.

With a budget of $250 million, Thor: Love and Thunder made an impressive $760.9 million worldwide. While the movie didn't beat the prequel in terms of commercial success, it's still not bad for a fourth installment!

3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ($ 859.2 million)

After 2018's record-breaking Black Panther, Marvel figured that the sequel would surpass it in no time!

That assumption proved to be wrong, but the movie did get an honorable third place in the Phase Four ranking, grossing $859.2 million on a $200 million budget. Wakanda forever!

2. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($955.8 million)

The movie's commercial success can probably be attributed to the MCU movie it followed – after watching Spider-Man: No Way Home, people were longing for more and returned for the Doctor Strange sequel.

That's not to say that the movie isn't great on its own (it is). After all, it did make $955.9 million on a surprisingly low budget of $172 million!

1. Spider-Man: No Way Home ($1.1 billion)

No one is shocked to see the conclusion to the Spider-Man saga take the crown, right? Grossing a whopping $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide on a budget of only $200 million, the third installment rightfully comes in first place.

Honestly, it deserves it just for the iconic cameos and bringing that Spider-Man meme to life!

Well, let's see if Phase Five can top that! Spoiler alert: it would certainly take an ingenious script, director, and cast to beat these numbers.
