In case you want to escape reality and dive into a much more comforting world.

There's no doubt that the South Korean television industry has become one of the most popular in the last decade. And it's no surprise: there are many shows of every possible genre, and the story in each K-drama is unique and captivating.

Despite the attention to all genres, they still create more romances or just dramas with a heartwarming premise. One of the most popular feel-good dramas out there is definitely Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, which you can stream on Netflix if you haven't already.

The show about a girl who changed her life for the better just gives you hope that anything is possible, you just have to believe in it. So if you need to feel that again – here are seven more K-dramas with a premise that will give you butterflies.

1. Hospital Playlist (2020)

Our first recommendation is this K-drama, and here’s why. The show is wholesome and heartwarming, and it highlights the importance of friendship.

“It's filled with clever wit, layers of meaning with little clues that you find upon multiple watches, and lots of genuine kindness. The relationships are beautiful. For me, the friendships were the highlight over the romance,” Redditor Thoughtful-Pig said.

The show focuses on 5 main characters who became friends in 1999 while attending the same medical school and now work together in the hospital. And their daily lives are worth watching.

2. Once Upon A Small Town (2022)

The story focuses on Han Ji Yool, who works as a veterinarian in Seoul. One day, however, he receives a disturbing phone call from his grandfather who lives in the village, so Ji Yool decides to visit him and find out what is wrong.

There he discovers that everything is fine with his grandfather, he has just gone on a trip through Europe and wants Ji Yool to take over his veterinary clinic.

Shocked by the turn of events, Ji Yool agrees, and so his life begins to change, right after he meets police officer Ahn Ja Young, who will be his guide into the world of village life.

3. Dali And The Cocky Prince (2021)

The story of the show is quite compelling for many reasons. At the center of this K-drama is a young man, Moo Hak, who is determined to make all the money in the world. He started out as a peddler, but then grew up to become the director of a large restaurant chain.

One day he meets Da Li, a young girl who used to be rich but went bankrupt after the death of her father. Somehow she is connected to Moo Hak and as different as they are, they form a strong bond.

4. What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?

One of the most popular K-dramas worldwide revolves around the narcissistic Lee Young Joon, the vice president of a large family business. He barely sees other people, let alone talks to them or has any other relationships.

But he has a loyal secretary, Kim Mi So, who has been there for him for 9 long years and has done nothing but good for her boss. However, she got tired of it all and decided to leave the company, and her decision made Young Joon change his attitude towards the world completely and do everything to keep her.

5. Reply 1988 (2015)

“The best of the best. Simply amazing, has comedy, family, friendship, 90s vibes, cute romance and everything. I must say nothing can beat it. Watch it if you haven't,” Redditor Mindless-Antelope-38 said.

Well, if a review like that doesn't make you rush to your computer to watch the show, then we should probably add some more info. The show is about five childhood friends, all living in the same Ssangmundong neighborhood of Seoul, who count on each other to navigate their troubled teenage years and plot a course for their futures.

And their everyday shenanigans are so compelling that you won't want to miss a single detail of their lives.

6. When the Camellia Blooms (2019)

The show focuses on Dong Baek, a young woman who grew up as an orphan. Her fate didn't get any better as time went by and she became a single mother. However, she managed to create her own destiny: in the small town of Ongsan, she runs a bar with the beautiful name of Camellia.
