7. I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)

As kids, we didn't pay much attention to the "What are you waiting for, huh?!" scene, but now there's no doubt as to why it was parodied in Scary Movie.

At a certain point in the film, Julie gets fed up with the torment of the fisherman serial killer, steps out into the street, looks up at the sky, and screams her iconic line while spinning, which makes the scene comical due to the character's overly dramatic delivery.

6. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

The final scene of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a sequel to Tobe Hooper's original 1974 story, shows a self-driving car moving away with the last standing girl crying and screaming from the sunroof as her friend is being killed.

This moment and the one before it when the girls open the car's sunroof and slowly start driving, chatting about the future, instead of fleeing from Leatherface, are ridiculous.

5. The Wicker Man (2006)

In the remake of the 1973 British film, the notorious "Not the bees" line is famously screamed by Nicolas Cage's character, Edward Malus, while he is being tortured by bees. The scene has become a meme due to Cage's exaggerated reaction and the absurdity of the situation and is often cited as an unintentionally funny moment in the movie.

4. Halloween Kills (2021)

In the twelfth installment of the slasher franchise, there's a scene where Michael attacks a group of people in a car near a park. Among many murders, one kill stands out and cracks us up — a woman dressed as a nurse walks up to Michael and shoots him, but then he opens the door, causing the gun to hit her own face and she accidentally shoots herself.

3. Scream ( 1996)

In Wes Craven's iconic slasher, there's a memorable scene where Tatum is attacked by Ghostface in the garage, and he tries to escape through a cat door, but gets stuck. It's a tense and ridiculous moment at the same time, considering we could see that Tatum actually had no problem escaping through the cat door, but had to pretend she was trapped.

2. Us (2019)

Despite its themes of a society of haves and have-nots, Jordan Peele's psychological horror film delivers one of the funniest scenes in movie history. In the most Black Mirror-like moment, Kitty tries to use her Bluetooth speaker to call the police, but Ophelia, aka Siri/Alexa, plays "Fuck the Police" instead, making the scene both tense and hysterical.

1. Hereditary (2018)

In the final scene of Ari Aster's Hereditary, there is a gruesome moment with Annie's self-decapitation, but right after that, we see her son Peter, horrified by her death and naked cultists in the attic, screaming and jumping out of the window. Every time we watch it, we can't help but burst out laughing.
