And you don’t have to go through pain and suffering.

After watching so many K-dramas (the word "many" is used because I just stopped counting after the 20 mark), I came to a very specific conclusion: if you need to feel something love-related, the best way is to turn to any South Korean romantic comedy or drama.

The thing is, some K-dramas just feel so relatable, or just so realistic, that you start believing everything you see on screen, even though you know it's just a script written by some imaginative professional.

So, having been burned many times, I have created my own list of K-dramas to watch whenever I feel my faith in love is fading. So here they are, South Korean shows that will heal your aching soul and actually prove that "don't stop believing" is good advice.

1. Her Private Life (2019)

Many fans say that this is the K-drama that gives you hope, and I couldn't agree more. Her Private Life focuses on a talented gallery curator named Sung Deok Mi, who seems nice and professional, but she has a dark secret... The secret in question is the fact that she is a hardcore Cha Shi An fan-girl, and she does everything to hide it from the people she works with and from everyone else.

But her secret is revealed by Ryan Gold, the new director of the art gallery, who becomes her own fan. The relationship between these two is so healthy and pure that it takes a brief moment to start believing in soulmates again.

2. Dali and the Cocky Prince (2021)

Moo Hak and Da Li’s couple is probably one of the best couples in all K-dramas I have ever watched. They are so different, yet they make you see that everything can work out if you put enough effort in the relationship.

He is an ignorant man for whom money is the most important thing, and she is an upper class woman with a profound knowledge of everything, but without her wealth. And somehow, when they meet, the magic just kicks in.

3. Love to Hate You (2023)

What’s better than having a supportive boyfriend? At the center of this series is a young career woman named Yeo Mi Ran. She wants no romance in her life and only views men as competition.

And then there is Nam Kang Ho, a popular actor who always ends up playing male leads in romantic movies, but has no interest in marriage and whatever comes with it.
However, as a joke on their beliefs, life brings them together and puts them to the biggest test of their lives: recognizing true love.

4. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021)

This is the K-drama with the most healing potential of them all. It follows a young woman who is so tired of her old big city life, her work and everything around her, that she decides to move to the countryside and start over.

Of course, she encounters many difficulties at first, and even her future crush irritates her at first, but soon she realizes that she is finally living the life of her dreams with the man she deserves. Isn't that what everyone wants?

5. Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (2017)

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is about a young woman who appears to be small and sweet, but is actually very strong. The secret is that her family has had a superpower for generations and she has inherited it.

There is actually a love triangle in this K-drama, but it's portrayed in such a healthy way that you don't even root for one of the two male leads, but wait patiently for the woman to make her choice and be happy no matter which way it goes.
