But our favorite type of action is hot-take competition — and after one of those recently took place, we gathered some really unpopular opinions for you to scowl at.

The Cullen family

Typically thought of as the good guys and Bella's close friends, the Cullens actually acted toward her in a very unkind and selfish way.

When Edward decided it was "best," the entire family just packed up and left without even speaking to Bella.

Even Alice, who was her best friend, didn't lift a finger to say goodbye or notify her at all.

The Quileute tribe

Instead of the Italy segment in New Moon, that time and word count should've been put to good use and show us more of the Quileute.

If the tribe was shown as an actual well-rounded family and had more spotlight alongside the Cullens, Bella's choice between these two families would've been more dramatic and meaningful.

Edward and Bella

There was no real chemistry on Edward's side whatsoever: he only chose Bella because she was the only one whose mind he couldn't read.

He didn't want his partner's thoughts in his head, and that was the only reason.

And by the way, were Edward not a mysterious vampire, he would've simply been an abusive boyfriend.

Jacob and Bella

Jacob, too, never loved Bella: it's easy to understand through his reactions the moment she does or says something he doesn't like. J

acob was only obsessed with the idea of Bella as he pictured her in his head, and the fact that she wasn't like that in real life led to him constantly trying to manipulate her into being that way.

Bella Swan

After we've reviewed the two families and the two romantic partners for Bella, it's only right we come to the conclusion: Bella would've been better off alone.

Both Jacob and Edward were mental children who saw her as something to be obtained rather than an actual living person.

And she would've been able to fully develop her frontal lobe, too, which is definitely a nice bonus.
