Gossip Girl is all about rich beautiful people and their highly questionable decisions, but even then, some opinions about them will have you on the run in no time.

5. Louis’s Hate To Blair Was Morally Justified

Gossip Girl fans love to hate Louis Grimaldi, but let’s face it: the man totally earned his villain arc. Blair didn’t respect his values and family, cheated on him, and didn’t take the responsibility of marrying into the royal family seriously. The paternity test was just the last nail in Blair’s coffin, and the treatment he then gave her was oh so deserved.

4. Jenny Was Great And Didn’t Deserve The Hate

Another character who’s unjustly hated by the fans, Jenny Humphrey was the most interesting person in Gossip Girl and only became a villain because of Blair’s aversions. Jenny’s plans actually worked unlike everyone else’s, and she had reasons for her actions. Also, Taylor Momsen did an amazing job at portraying her.

3. Serena And Nate Were Infinitely Boring

Everybody loves Serena and Nate, especially, as a couple. But take away their golden hair and stylish clothes, and you’ll be left with…nothing. The only reason this duo is so popular is their stunning looks, because beyond that, their personalities are lacking any traits other than those golden retriever vibes and careless attitude to life.

2. Blair And Chuck Get Way Too Much Leeway

Blair Waldorf is unanimously adored by Gossip Girl fans to the point where she’s not held accountable for any of her actions — and that young lady messes up a lot. Her sweetheart Chuck Bass, too, gets all too much slack cut: no, he didn’t change after the pilot episode; yes, he remained the same slimy and gross person for seasons.

1. Dan Humphrey Was The Perfect Gossip Girl

Yeah, you’re right: Dan being the Gossip Girl makes no sense upon a rewatch. But that’s the issue with the showrunners only settling on him in the final season which created a handful of plotholes. As a person, Dan was the perfect candidate to run the Gossip Girl blog and made a lot of sense. It’s a shame it was such a late decision.
