You can literally see them being on the verge of cracking up.

Sometimes the scene can be so funny that you can't help but burst out laughing. And in those moments, you find yourself wondering how the actors were able to hold it together during such an intense moment.

It turns out that no matter how many shots they had, sometimes even for actors it's unbearable to hold back the laughter. Here are 5 times from TV shows where you can see actors cracking up but still playing their roles.

1. The Office

With a fair amount of improvisation, some of the moments are so unbearably funny that even the actors can't go through them with a straight face. But for someone who is a guest star on the show, it can become a double torture.

In this one scene, you can see Idris Elba leaving his character's body for a split second when Kevin Malone interrupts David Wallace's speech. We get you here, Idris, after all these years it's impossible for us every time we turn on an Office episode.

2. Parks and Recreation

During a comedic scene on Parks and Recreation, Rob Lowe found it impossible to control his laughter as he watched Adam Scott's character try to dial a phone with his face, all part of the memorable "the calzones betrayed me" food poisoning scene.

While Lowe is in full on-camera meltdown, Scott is alternately calm and composed — a mix of emotions that brings tears of laughter to our eyes every time we re-watch this episode.

3. Friends

Remember the scene where Ross plays the bagpipes and Phoebe starts singing along and Jennifer Aniston loses it? Well, that's not the scene we want to talk about.

The one we actually never noticed before is when Matt LeBlanc 's character, Joey, is laughing behind Ross in that one episode where the stripper stole Ross' wedding ring.

What's funny about this scene is that Matt was always the last of the actors to break down. He always seemed to be able to hold himself, even in the most ridiculously funny Friends moments, but in that one scene, he was caught off guard.

4. Supernatural

When Bela Talbot, a thief and scammer, steals from Sam and Dean again, Jensen's character yells "Son of a b*tch," which is a completely improvised line.

At the same moment, Jared Padalecki can be seen giggling. Although the laughter was unintentional, it fit perfectly with the situation the brothers were facing.

5. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Rosa Diaz is the most serious character in the series, but Stephanie Beatriz, the actress who portrays the emotionless detective Diaz, is the complete opposite.

At some point, Stephanie managed to take control of her character and break it a few times. Like in this one scene in the first season where Jake and the crew try to figure out why Amy Santiago was late for work.

The slight but persistent smirk on Rosa's face is definitely the actress' and not the character's.
