5. When She Treated Tissaia as the Villain
That woman is literally the reason Yennefer is who she is, and she almost never gets any credit for that. Throughout season 1, Yennefer is giving Tissaia attitude every time she actually wants to help her.
That’s no way to treat the woman who has basically saved your life and become your adopted mother. Yennefer, do better.
4. When She Risked Jaskier’s Life
In her search for the infertility cure, Yennefer never lets anyone stand in her way, so when she wants to harness Djinn’s powers, she doesn’t mind putting Jaskier’s life in potential harm’s way.
Jaskier is one of the most beloved characters in the series, and fans hate Yennefer for what she has almost done to him (as they should).
3. When She Abandoned the Queen and the Kid
In season 1, Yennefer is escorting the queen and her newborn child when the king’s assassin makes an entrance. Yennefer tries to help the woman at first, but briefly abandons her and her infant when the queen lets her emotions get the best of her.
We get that Yennefer’s feelings are hurt, but she is completely in the wrong for teleporting out of the place and letting two innocent people die. That’s some irredeemable behavior right there.
2. When She Could’ve Saved Everyone, but Didn’t
In the season 1 finale, a huge battle is approaching, and Yennefer reluctantly joins the ranks of her fellow sorcerers. However, she spends the majority of the battle just watching from the tower and giving orders instead of actually doing something.
It’s funny that the only time she’s decided to listen to someone is the one time she shouldn’t have. If Yennefer had released her chaos at the beginning, numerous people wouldn’t have died.
1. When She Was Willing to Sacrifice Ciri
We are supposed to believe that Yennefer has become Ciri’s mother figure, but let’s not forget that she was willing to kill the poor kid if that meant restoring her magic. That’s another level of dysfunctional.
Yennefer is one selfish gal who doesn’t deserve any redemption for her words and actions.
