5 Things You Might Have Missed in The Changeling Episodes 1-3
Who stole and replaced Emma’s baby?
First three episodes of Apple TV+ ’s The Changeling are currently available for streaming. For those who don’t know, the TV series is based on the novel of the same name by Victor LaValle, who even narrated the show.
The series looks promising, and it's definitely got us eager to see what's coming up in the next five episodes. We are going to break down three premiere episodes to make sure you haven’t missed anything.

The Wise Ones
Apollo learns about a group called The Wise Ones, which is supposedly a group of witches. They promise to help women get their missing children back. And their leader’s name is Cal, mentioned by Emma when she recollects chains from a woman.
The interesting part is that the name Cal might be short for Calliope, the mother of Apollo in Greek mythology. Could Lillian, Apollo's mother, be involved? Her secrets and lies about Apollo’s father make her a shady character.
The Norway Connection
The series kicks off with a tale of a Norwegian ship making a seemingly impossible journey to America in 1825. There's a hint of some supernatural entity guiding the ship. In episode 2, we can see something approaching the city underwater.
Plus, there's a mysterious Norwegian photographer linked to Emma. What's the deal with Norway? We're not sure yet, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on.
The Missing Children
If you pay attention to the streets of New York, you'll notice there's an eerie number of missing children posters. Something or someone is snatching these kids. Could it be related to The Wise Ones or is there another player?
The Baby
As Emma's mental state deteriorates, she starts to believe her son isn't hers. She even calls him "the devil." A random homeless guy even shouts at her, saying, "It's not a baby." In European (Irish) mythology, a changeling is a fairy that had been left in place of a child, stolen by other fairies.
Creepy Photos
Emma receives unsettling photos of someone stalking her and Apollo’s baby, Brian. We then find out that another woman had the same kind of problem.
If the witches (The Wise Ones) are really trying to help these women, who or what is trying to take these babies? It is possible that fairies are involved.
