5 Things We Absolutely Need to Happen in the Community Movie, Ranked
The "six seasons and a movie" prophecy might finally be coming true, with only the Writers Guild Strike standing in the way.
Ever since the king of breaking the fourth wall, Abed Nadir, introduced this running gag, and then we actually got season 6, fans have been obsessed with the Community movie.
With so many revivals gone wrong in recent years, here are five things that need to happen for the ultimate success of the movie.
5. Growth, Growth, Growth
Community has never been big on character development right up until they leave the show, and the movie needs to overturn this tiresome pattern.
Tell us what the Greendale 6 (7?) have been up to all these years, show us their career achievements and family life… give us something!
Hopefully, the characters won't just revert to their cringy season 1 selves.
4. Jeff and Annie's Story
These two have been the "will they, won't they" couple of the show throughout the years, and the finale hints that they have a future.
The movie has to have Jeff and Annie together and thriving, otherwise, none of it even matters. If Jeff and Britta end up married instead, we are suing!
3. Greendale's Study Room
The movie has to be set on campus – this is the only way. The group has had all their milestone moments there, and the study room is basically their power place.
Maybe the movie can feature a class reunion, and that's why they can all be back at Greendale (with lots of meta jokes, of course).
2. Return of Literally Everyone
The main six have to come back for a movie, that's a non-negotiable, but we'd love to see the Dean, Magnitude, Hickey, Duncan, Chang, and so many more make an appearance.
All the recurring characters that we fell in love with are the essence of Greendale, and it'd be great to have them all back.
1. Troy and Abed in the Morning
Now that we know that Donald Glover is returning, all we can think about is that Troy and Abed (the true couple of the show) will finally be back together.
The movie has to give us one of their iconic "Troy and Abed in the morning" bits (what even is the point of making the movie if that's not there?).
Are you eager to get more details about the upcoming revival? We know we can't wait!
