The animated series went through a lot of changes that resulted in many scenes being scrapped, but fans still wish these five had made the final cut.

The history of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a bumpy one, as the animated series has had its share of ups and downs during its seven-season run from 2008 to 2020.

At one point, it was even canceled after season 6 in 2014, only to triumphantly return six years later for a final season that tied up loose ends beautifully, with season 7 being considered one of the best in the entire series.

With all that in mind, it's no wonder that certain scenes and even entire episodes were cut along the way, so here are five Clone Wars deleted scenes that were an absolute crime to remove.

Jungle Rancor Pit

While this scene from the animated film that served as an introduction to the entire series doesn't have any particular narrative significance, it's still a nice action scene and a callback to Episode VI, where Luke finds himself in a similar situation.

After Anakin and Ahsoka are involved in a confrontation with Asajj Ventress, they all fall into a pit where they encounter a jungle subspecies of one of the most feared predators in the galaxy.

The Son Speaks to Sith Lords

When Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka encounter a family of beings, each representing an aspect of the Force, during a Mortis story arc from the third season of the series, the Son is the one manifesting the Dark Side.

In this scene, he is visited by the spirits of two ancient Sith Lords, Darth Bane and Darth Revan, which could have been a great opportunity for a very memorable double cameo.

Anakin Confronts the Jedi Council

This scene takes place during the season 5 arc in which Ahsoka is falsely accused of being responsible for an attack on the Jedi Temple, which eventually led to her resignation from the Order.

In it, Anakin fiercely defends his Padawan, which could have added more depth to his relationship with Ahsoka and shown how much he cares for her.

Reflecting on Ahsoka's Decision

After Ahsoka leaves the Order, Anakin and Obi-Wan discuss the decision of Skywalker's now ex-Padawan.

Many fans wondered why he seemed so unaffected by it in season 6, and this scene shows just that, providing a glimpse of how disappointed, frustrated, and sad he was about it.

Cad Bane vs. Boba Fett

This was one of the scenes originally planned for season 7 before it was scrapped (and then revived).

Considering how anticlimactic and disappointing the exact same setup was in the TV series The Book of Boba Fett, maybe it should have happened in The Clone Wars instead.
