You won’t believe how many times that actually happened.

If there's one thing that's much more entertaining for fans of The Big Bang Theory than Sheldon's constant fussing, it's Sheldon being put in his place by other characters. It's even more impressive when there's no one to blame for Sheldon's downfalls other than Sheldon himself.

Fortunately, there is no shortage of such moments on the show. In fact, Sheldon has probably been wrong more times than you remember.

Here are the top five times someone pointed out how wrong Sheldon Cooper was and completely stunned him.

1. Wrong Equation on the Board

It must’ve been painful to have been proven wrong by Leslie Winkle, who did not only point out the issue, but also went in to fix it on the board. Sheldon was visibly offended and even tried to defend his scientific honor, but shut down from complaining almost immediately after Leslie’s comeback.

2. Wrong at the Physics Bowl

Technically, Sheldon wasn’t wrong, as he didn’t state the answer, but he was totally wrong to decline an answer from the member of his own team while not knowing it himself. Sheldon might be extremely intelligent, but he’s far from being the smartest when it comes to people’s relationships… and physics, as it turns out, too.

3. Wrong About Being Wrong

The most baffling scene out of them all was the one with Stuart when he proved to Sheldon that being wrong wasn’t an absolute. You could probably argue his point, but you cannot argue how funny it was to finally see Sheldon Cooper left speechless by one of his least confident friends.

4. Wrong, but Doesn’t Admit It

Remember that time when Raj’s math on their research was correct and Sheldon’s was not? Their argument got so heated that Raj left, not being able to handle Sheldon’s behavior. Well, at the end of it Sheldon was willing to accept the part where Raj was right, but didn’t acknowledge himself being wrong at all.

5. Wrong in Front of Stephen Hawking

It was a lifelong dream for Sheldon to meet Stephen Hawking, so he was willing to take in a little humiliation from Howard and do his chores. However, what he wasn’t prepared for, is for his idol to find a mistake in his paper. Poor Sheldon was so shaken up by the news, that he fainted right in front of Hawking.
