5 Sex And the City Romances That You Will Never Remember (And That’s a Good Thing)
“Experience and forget” is probably the best mantra of dating life.
Sex and the City has several core stories, but the most obvious one is of course about single girls' journey in trying to find the perfect guy. And sometimes it just gets really hard, because the men you meet are so boring/greedy/stupid etc. that you start to question the whole dating thing.
For six seasons, fans around the world watched Miranda, Carrie, Charlotte and Samantha deal with all kinds of men, go on dates, have bad sex (as well as awkward conversations), etc.
Here are five examples of when these guys were so unworthy that it's hard to even remember the storylines with them.
1. Carrie and Dr. Bradley Meego
If you want to Google his name to remember who he is, that's totally fine. This man appeared in Carrie's life in season 2, she met him while she was on vacation with the rest of the girls.
Dr. Bradley was the classic example of a good guy "on paper" with nothing to offer in real life. Yes, he was nice and all, but there was nothing even remotely sparkly between them.
2. Miranda and Doug
Miranda dated a lot of men before she started questioning her identity in And Just Like That. But almost all of those brief relationships are not even worth remembering. So if the name Doug doesn't mean anything to you, here's something that might.
Remember the guy who felt so comfortable with Miranda that he even wanted to share the intimate moments that took place in the bathroom? Yep, that's our Doug. Defecating with the door open is a big turnoff, and everyone needs to know that.
3. Samantha and not so dreamy Ken
Another name that means nothing. Ken is the guy Sam had a discreet affair with. But things got complicated when he decided to come clean to his wife so that he and Samantha could be together. Needless to say, nothing worked out between them… maybe he just wasn’t Kenough, you know.
4. Charlotte and Gareth
Yes, Charlotte's dating life was full of questionable guys before she met her Goldenblatt ticket. For example, she once dated Gareth Davis, who is probably the best example of how forgettable a date can be.
She took him to her gallery opening as a +1, but he ended up having sex with someone else right there, making him yet another wasted dating prospect.
5. Charlotte and the angry Arthur
Another character we never imagine Charlotte with in our "what if" scenarios is Harvard graduate Arthur. With all his smooth talk about marriage, he almost made his way into Charlotte's heart. But when the opportunity to show his true self came along, he jumped at it. And at another guy in the restaurant when the stranger accidentally bumped into Char's chair...
