It’s time to plan a trip to California.

One thing that can definitely make an upcoming Winter holiday season more memorable for any The Big Bang Theory fan is a trip to California. While you may find some enjoyment in sightseeing, there are a few places that would blow your mind and make you feel like you are living the episode of the show yourself.

Despite every major location being built and filmed in the studio, there are still some spots to catch your attention on the streets. Just use the list of 5 places below as a guide for a perfect The Big Bang Theory-themed California trip.

Caltech
1200 E. California Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91125

The center of The Big Bang Theory's universe, Caltech, is a real institution located in Pasadena, California, a city just outside of Los Angeles. Supposedly, this is where the gang works and spends most of their time, aside from Sheldon and Leonard's apartment. Who knows, maybe the trip will even inspire your scientific genius?

Cheesecake Factory
2 W Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91101

The only thing the famous restaurant chain lent to The Big Bang Theory was the name. Everything else, including the interiors, was filmed in the studio. Still, while you're in town, it wouldn't hurt to treat yourself to some dessert at a place where Penny supposedly worked.

Big Bang Theory Way
Pasadena, CA

It may seem unbelievable, but the overall success of the show has led Pasadena to honor it and CBS by naming a real street after it. It is located near the Old Pasadena area, in the 100 block of East Colorado Boulevard. It has its own sign, so you probably could not miss it even if you tried. This sighting would be the best ending to the Pasadena trip.

Disneyland
1313 S Disneyland Dr Anaheim CA 92802

A trip to Disneyland is more expensive, but the memories are always worth it. Also, you can reenact the fight that Penny, Amy, and Bernadette had to be Cinderella after the princess makeover. This would be a way to pass the time while waiting in line for the said makeover.

Warner Bros Studio
3400 Warner Blvd. Burbank, CA 91505

If you feel like your trip wouldn't be complete without seeing the actual sets of the show, you can always visit Warner Bros. Studios for a tour. Of course, not everything you would see now is there, but some of the permanent sets, like the Caltech cafeteria and Sheldon and Leonard's apartment, are preserved and waiting for visitors.
