She is really the best in everything!

Marge Simpson is one of the most amazing TV wives ever created. Loyal, caring, sometimes silly, and always funny, she is truly the glue that holds the family together.

Over the show's 35 seasons, she's gone through so many transformations it's hard to count. Her ability to adapt to any situation life throws at her is just amazing, as is the way she has handled even the most unsuitable jobs throughout the show. So here are our five favorite Marge occupations.

1. Springfield Mayor

In season 29, episode 6, Marge took over Joe Quimby's position as mayor and became the head of the town council for an episode. After being elected, she promised to deal with the huge fire that was causing problems for many citizens.

However, when she found out that destroying the fire would also destroy the small family business, she decided to go the other way. Needless to say, she was booed and eventually lost her position.

2. Drag Queen

This was probably the most unexpected job Marge could have ever gotten, yet she managed to be largely successful at it. Her alter-ego, Glamazon Marge, was a kitchen salesman on behalf of the Tupperware brand.

Unfortunately, by revealing her true identity, Homer ruins Marge's sales, and her customers prove to be far less interested in Marge outside of her drag queen character.

3. Crime Scene Cleaner

The most terrible job Marge ever has is that of a crime scene cleaner, which she gets in episode 15, season 27. The job is offered to her by Chief Wiggum when his cleanup crew is unable to get to a car accident in time due to heavy traffic.

As expected, Marge thrived in her new role, but soon realized it was too much and resigned.

4. Gym Owner

Marge as a gym owner was actually a great storyline that really explored her as a successful businesswoman. In episode 7, season 19, she opened her own gym called Shapes, which is for women only.

Her business became so successful that she had to turn it into a franchise. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the end of the story because the sitcom never revealed it.

5. Bodybuilder

Another sports related occupation and the most unlikeliest career path appears in episode 9 of season 14, when Marge becomes a bodybuilder after being mugged. She takes up weightlifting and is encouraged to take steroids by her old neighbor Ruth.

However, her use of steroids makes her angry and she begins to have outbursts at her family members. After realizing this, she ends her career and goes back to being a housewife.
