We all can feel a bit down about ourselves sometimes.

It may be hard to identify with anyone on The Big Bang Theory at first glance, but as you get deeper into the show and learn more about the characters' personalities, backgrounds, and aspirations, it becomes easier and easier to see yourself in at least one of them. We all may find it hard to communicate our feelings like Sheldon or find a stable job, like Penny.

The most relatable out of them all, however, to this day is Stuart, the kind of guy longing for friendship, who is way too hard on himself most of the time. Here are 5 of Stuart Bloom’s quotes to recognize yourself in.

“What about me makes you think my heart can handle a joke?”

Throughout the show, fans witnessed Stuart's self-esteem slowly but surely diminish. But that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was the way his friends treated him, making fun of him and not really including him in the group. This is why the quote is both relatable and very real.

“Could’ve killed me! …can’t catch a break.”

The moment when Stuart's comic shop burned down was one of the saddest in the entire series. Not only was it where he lived, but it was also a place where the gang regularly found happiness and comfort. However, his mild and completely done-with-this-life reaction to the lamp missing his head when it fell from the ceiling is one of the most relatable.

“Closest I've come to dating two women was that time I dated one woman.”

While it's hard to get behind Raj's attitude toward women and Stuart's jealousy of him, the struggle to have a good love life is very relatable to everyone. Dating takes a lot of time and effort, and there is no guarantee that you will end up with the right person right away, so we definitely understand how Stuart feels.

"Look at me. I'm 37. I sleep in the back of a comic book store, and I have the bone density of an 80-year-old man."

It's clear that Stuart's life hasn't turned out the way he wanted, but at least he's honest about it, not only with himself but with others. Besides, who of us can't relate to feeling like a senior citizen when, in fact, we have much longer to live in our own bodies? The only bad thing was the timing of the toast. It's probably not what Howard wanted to hear.

“Hey, I'm in a hospital, and I'm not the patient. I'm fine.”

Sometimes all you need in life is to appreciate the little things. Life without injury is one of them, and Stuart was able to learn that lesson in a very unexpected way. Considering his usual luck with such things, the fact that he is not in the hospital because he needs medical help is a victory indeed
