5 Most Hated The Big Bang Theory Couples According To Reddit
It’s shocking Leonard and Penny didn’t make the list.
Throughout the 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory, the writers made sure that the audience was never bored. And one of the easiest ways to ensure that was to introduce as many romantic interests as possible for all the characters who were open to dating.
Some of them were so good that we still wish they were endgames, and the others... Well, let's just say the show got rid of them for a reason.
From Raj's poor attempts at finding a gem among rocks to Leonard's ill-fated romance with his friend's sister, here are The Big Bang Theory's 5 worst couples, as listed by fans on the r/bigbangtheory subreddit.
Raj and Lucy
It's safe to say that throughout the series, there was no character more hated than Lucy. While some were just mildly annoyed by her presence, others felt that she was so bad not only for Raj, but as a character in her own right, that she made the episodes completely unwatchable. It was a real relief when the two went their separate ways.
Leonard and Priya
One thing you should never do if you don't want to ruin your friendship is date your friend's sibling without their approval. Fortunately, Leonard and Raj's friendship survived the failed romance between Leonard and Priya, but it was not worth the risk. She showed him no respect, and he was just trying to fill a Penny-shaped hole in his heart.
Raj and Anu
Sometimes arranged marriages work. Some people manage to find the respect and support they need, and even grow to love the person they spend the rest of their lives with. Raj and Anu, however, had nothing going on between them, and it was downright depressing to see him resort to the arrangement as a solution.
Leonard and Dr. Stephanie
Stephanie wasn't bad by any means, but the more viewers watched her and Leonard's story progress, the more they wished she'd settled for Howard from the beginning. She was too insecure and yet too pushy for her own good, making Leonard uncomfortable in his own apartment, which is unacceptable in any relationship. They just weren't a good match.
Sheldon and Amy
Even though Shamy ended up being an endgame, many people believe it was a mistake. The contractual relationship based solely on terms and conditions lacked chemistry from the start, and the character growth that both Sheldon and Amy showed in the finale was underwhelming for some viewers.
