Maybe it wasn’t the best show to take an example from.

There are many TV series that we loved back when they aired, but can’t just sit and watch right now. Some of them turned out to be too problematic and inappropriate, and others just don’t make any sense at all. Luckily, Gilmore Girls doesn’t really fall into either of these categories.

However, there certainly are some moments that leave too poor of a taste in viewers’ mouths.

Here are five Gilmore Girls moments which were too cruel, intense or straight-up insane for the fans to forgive and forget:

Emily and Richard Moving Rory In

It is known that the relationship between Emily, Richard and Lorelai were always strained, but at that particular moment they ruined it even further by breaking all the trust Lorelai had left in them. You cannot do something like this behind your daughter’s back just after you say you’re on her side.

Paris Evicting Rory

Paris wasn’t ever the nicest friend to Rory, considering all the tantrums and arguments, however the worst decision of all was to evict Rory by throwing all of her things out in the hallway. Many viewers were left in shock at the fact that Rory was able to forgive that and rekindle the friendship, as they totally didn’t let that moment go.

Emily Inviting Christopher

There’s not one single person who would choose Christopher over Luke in their right mind. However, Emily thought she could break Luke and Lorelai up by inviting him to the vow renewal ceremony. This might’ve been the worst possible time and the worst possible place for the show of sheer pettiness.

Dean Not Coming Clean

Dean cheating on his wife was enough for many fans to find themselves completely disappointed with him. However, his inability to be honest and come clean about it and continuing to stay with her just to come back to Rory later hit even worse. Dean must’ve been the only character who did not mature a single bit throughout the whole show.

Anna Keeping April From Luke

The selfishness of Anna played a sick joke on April and Luke’s relationship, as she basically stole the precious years the two of them could spend together. Luckily, they were able to catch up with each other rather quickly and grew into a beautiful father/daughter duo, but the viewers never truly forgave Anna for what she’s done.
