5 Incomplete The Big Bang Theory Storylines That Have Fans Fuming To This Day

When the show goes on for more than 10 years, it's more than okay for some storylines to get sidetracked in order to advance other, more interesting ones. However, viewers are not stupid and usually expect at least some sort of resolution to the issues that have been addressed.

And if they don't get answers to their questions, that's where their satisfaction with the show ends and the complaints begin. Even iconic sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory are guilty of leaving their viewers hanging.

Here are five unresolved storylines that have left The Big Bang Theory fans deeply unsatisfied to this day.

Howard’s Brother

It was incredibly weird to see a half-brother of Howard’s get thrown into the mix of characters just to be completely forgotten about for the rest of the series. Especially, knowing that Howard himself started to warm up to him at the very end. Unfortunately, The Big Bang Theory isn’t known for its prolonged heartfelt moments, so Josh got scraped.

Raj and Howard’s Fallout

This friendship was always so close and deeply satisfying for the fans, that many consider Raj and Howard to actually be The Couple of the series. However, it almost got ruined by the falling out that the two experienced in season 11. The sad thing is, it was all for nothing, as Howard came back to make fun of his friend almost immediately after the conflict.

Sheldon’s Assistant

Do you remember where Alex went? Does anyone remember? Although her character was clearly created as a plot device to advance Penny and Leonard's relationship, the writers could have been a little less obvious and sent her off with a nice explanation. Instead, viewers are left to guess where a person who actually treated Leonard nicely went.

Raj and Emily the Janitor

Another opportunity for Raj’s growth was wasted with Emily. He was able to overcome his prejudices about the nature of her job, and they both seemed to be willing to give this relationship a try. However, the writers weren’t, so Emily had to go without a decent explanation too.

Penny’s Career

Perhaps, the most unsatisfying ending from all The Big Bang Theory characters was Penny’s. Not only did she become pregnant after years of explaining her child-free nature, but she was also forced to stick with a career she didn’t really like just for the money of it. Penny deserved better.
