These five were the integral parts of their respective movies and deservedly earned the love of the audience.

Animation is an extremely rich genre, with a wide variety of stories, and most stories have heroes and villains.

We have seen all kinds of villains over the years, from the downright terrifying to the tragic and even sympathetic, but this time we would like to introduce you to five of the funniest in our opinion.

Hades - Hercules (1997)

An absolute classic of Disney animation, this adaptation of a Greek myth had everything to be great, and its antagonist, the ruler of the underworld, was its crown jewel.

Portrayed by the legendary James Woods, he was inspired by Hollywood agents and car salesmen, and has an astonishing number of quotes that stay with the viewer long after the movie is over.

Lord Farquaad - Shrek (2001)

While the franchise now has a number of great and funny villains, such as Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming or Jack Horner, we decided to stick with the one that paved the way for them all. Voiced by John Lithgow, Lord Farquaad can be both menacing and hilarious, which fits perfectly in a world that satirizes classic fairy tales.

Yzma and Kronk - The Emperor's New Groove (2000)

One of the few remaining Disney classics untainted by unnecessary live-action remakes, at least half of its humor and charm comes from the villainous duo. Eartha Kitt and Patrick Warburton did a fantastic job portraying the Emperor's treacherous advisor and her simpleton henchman, completely stealing every scene they're in.

Megamind - Megamind (2010)

You could argue that this supervillain portrayed by Will Ferrell is the hero of his own movie, but he starts out as the bad guy, plotting against his nemesis Metro Man. And Jonah Hill's Tighten, who later becomes the real villain (though not a super one, as it is all about presentation) of the movie, is also hilarious.

The Spot - Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)

The most recent addition to our list, The Spot, voiced by Jason Schwartzman, was a great choice for a Spider-Verse sequel, providing laughs for most of the movie. However, by the end, he becomes a truly terrifying multiversal horror incarnate, so it seems that his comedic side will be significantly reduced or even eliminated in the third film.
