5 Henry Cavill's Upcoming Projects Worth Waiting for After He Quit The Witcher
Henry Cavill had to give up both his beautiful Witcher wig and the iconic Superman red cape, but don’t worry: the actor will hit us with five new great projects really soon!
Argylle ( 2024)
This new spy action thriller is coming out on February 2, 2024, on Apple TV+. Based on Elly Conway’s yet-to-be-released novel of the same name, it features Henry Cavill as a former superspy who lost his memory and was convinced by his former employers that he was just a book author…until his memories started coming back.
Matthew Vaughn admits he cast Cavill because the actor was “born to play Bond.”
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024)
Another action spy film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is directed by none other than Guy Ritchie! The movie is based on Damien Lewis’s book about Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming’s secret combat organization of WWII that used dirty methods to fight the Nazis and became a prototype of the modern “black ops.”
Henry Cavill was the first actor who received Guy Ritchie’s offer to join the cast.
The Rosie Project (date unknown)
This one’s a romantic drama, which is a new genre for Cavill. Based on Graeme Simsion’s bestseller novel, The Rosie Project tells a story of an unlucky-in-love genetics professor who tried to find his perfect partner with a questionnaire but fell in love with the one woman that fit next to no criteria on his thought-through list.
The Rosie Project is stuck in pre-production, and Cavill’s the only known actor.
Warhammer 40K (date unknown)
Warhammer 40K is an iconic tabletop game that gave birth to a large IP, and after Amazon bought the screen rights for it, it was announced that Henry Cavill will undertake the project as both an actor and a producer. We don’t know which character he’ll play yet, but fans guess it will be the legendary God-Emperor.
This is Henry’s dream come true as he’s been a huge Warhammer 40K fan since his childhood.
Highlander (date unknown)
As Lionsgate set its eyes on making a Highlander remake with director Chad Stahelski, it wasn’t long before Henry Cavill excitedly announced his participation. He will play the main character in the epic sci-fi fantasy tale about immortal human beings hunting each other down to accumulate more powers for themselves.
There have been rumors that Cavill was replaced in the cast, but none were confirmed.
