5 Grey’s Anatomy Soulmate Couples That Never Worked Out At The End
Basically, the greatest fanfiction material.
With so many characters coming and going, it's hard to remember all the couples Grey's Anatomy has ever matched. However, some characters are just meant to be together, and these couples become unforgettable no matter how hard the writers screw them over.
Here are 5 of Grey's Anatomy's strongest couples that could have been.
Alex Karev and Jo Wilson
Technically, that is the couple that happened but then got broken up by horrible writing on Grey’s Anatomy part. However, with so many fans rioting so hard against Alex’s horrible departure and their crazy breakup, it was only fair to include the couple in the list of those whose chances were forever ruined.
Teddy Owens and Tom Koracick
Whether that is another case of Owen Hunt being completely unlikeable, or a genuine chemistry between Teddy and Tom, everybody was rooting for them to come out as a couple from this long love triangle story.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, as Teddy managed to lose both of her men at the end, but fans still believe Koracick was the best match for her.
Meredith Grey and Cormac Hayes
Viewers were extremely receptive to Meredith’s possible relationship with handsome pediatric surgeon Cormac Hayes, but they were led to disappointment. Knowing they got together and then broke up without viewers seeing them together on screen might be even worse than them not getting together at all.
Cristina Yang and Preston Burke
As opposed to other Cristina’s romances, this one actually made a lot of sense and seemed very promising. Of course, both Yang and Burke had their differences, but they had great chemistry and the issues between them could’ve been worked out over time if only the writers decided to proceed with this couple.
Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan
If Grey’s Anatomy had its own Romeo and Juliet, that would be Mark and Lexie. Technically, they got their tragic yet beautiful ending together, but fans believe it was very unfair to not allow them more time together to be happy.
Killing the characters right after they finally proclaim their love to each other might be the cruelest thing Grey’s Anatomy has done to this day.
