There’s more to explore.

While we are still waiting for the Virgin River season 5 Christmas episodes to be released in November, there is something that can actually help make this anticipation so much easier and more entertaining.

There are several shows on Netflix that can help fans relive all the great feelings that Virgin River once gave you. So here are five more binge-worthy series to watch while you wait.

1. Sweet Magnolias

A soapy drama, Sweet Magnolias, like the Virgin River, gives us the vibes of what it's like to be a part of a strong community. The three main characters of the show, Maddie, Helen, and Sue, are lifelong friends who help each other go through hard times. And frankly, they are forced to deal with a lot of back-stabbing during the series.

Luckily, there's one thing that helps them keep it together: their weekly meetings where they discuss everything over margaritas. And then life seems bearable again.

2. From Scratch

There's another drama you'll enjoy, although we should warn you to keep some tissues handy if you're sentimental like us and cry over every little thing.

But how to hold back the tears when we see that the main character Amy, played by Zoe Saldana, has finally been given the chance to live the life of her dreams with the man she loves, only to face an unexpected, terrible tragedy that will change everything?

3. Last Tango in Halifax

This British drama-comedy show is all you need to start believing in the concept of true love and fate. The story of the show focuses on two high school sweethearts, Alan and Celia, who didn't have the courage to express their feelings back then and ended up in unhappy marriages with different people.

But almost 60 years later, when they are widowed and in their 70s, they find a way to each other (thanks to the Internet) and are finally reunited. The show has been described as a "triumph over television's ageism" because it tells the story of a mature, grown-up love. And unfortunately, these stories are almost always left untold.

4. Northern Rescue

There are not many ways to deal with the loss of a loved one, and most of the time it is better to change your life completely to have a chance at a more bearable future. And that is exactly what a firefighter named John decides to do after his wife dies. He takes his three children and moves from Boston to Canada, to a small town where he lived long before.

But moving miles away doesn't do the magic and heal you instantly. The show focuses on how each member of the family deals with their loss and finds a way to live.

5. Heartland

This Canadian drama can keep you busy until Virgin River comes out and beyond. Heartland is a long-running soapy show about a woman who trades the big city for a small town.

The story revolves around the main character, Lou, who decides to return to her family's ranch after her mother tragically passes away to help her father deal with the loss.
