Hollywood is full of blockbusters, horror, comedy, and other films of various genres. There are so many movies that even if the only thing we could do is watch them, we would never be able to finish all the movies that are in existence.

While some of the stories are not even worth watching, many have been overlooked and lost the attention they really deserve. Here is a list of some of the hidden gems of Hollywood that should never, ever be forgotten.

Bubble Boy (2001)

A 2001 comedy about Jimmy, played by a young Jake Gyllenhaal, who lives in a bubble because of a medical condition.

Determined to stop the wedding of his childhood sweetheart, he embarks on a hilarious cross-country journey in his bubble suit. This dark comedy film is full of quirky humor and is brilliantly delivered by Jake Gyllenhaal in an atypical role for him.

Better Off Dead... (1985)

Featuring memorable lines like "Gee, I'm real sorry your mom blew up, Ricky," this dark comedy follows a troubled teen, portrayed by the incredible John Cusack, as he deals with indifferent parents, a breakup, and a scary sibling.

In the midst of suicidal thoughts, he gets involved with a bizarre paperboy and a ski contest with a school bully.

Tuck Everlasting (2002)

This is a thought-provoking, magical story, both in its novel and film adaptation, that explores themes of immortality, the meaning of life, and the consequences of eternal youth. It follows the journey of Winnie Foster as she discovers the secret of the immortal Tuck family and is faced with a choice that will change her life forever.

That Thing You Do (1996)

Written, directed, and starring Tom Hanks, this incredible movie follows a band's rise to success in the '60s. Despite its late recognition, it has received excellent reviews (93% on Rotten Tomatoes) and features hilarious dialogue. It's well worth a look if you haven't already.
