Young Sheldon has to exist within The Big Bang Theory canon, but there are a few inconsistencies here and there.

Here are five insane fan ideas that can explain all those plot holes in Young Sheldon ( according to Reddit).

5. Paige’s Non-Existence in TBBT

Paige is a prominent character and a huge influence on Sheldon’s childhood personality, yet she is nowhere to be seen or heard during his adult years. What if Sheldon and Paige fell in love somewhere along the line, but Paige died, making Sheldon the damaged human being he was by the time of The Big Bang Theory?

4. George’s Upcoming Affair

Viewers know that Sheldon walked in on his father in bed with another woman, right? Well, imagine this: George and Mary decide to give their marriage another shot and spice things up in the bedroom by role-playing, and Sheldon walks in on his father and his mother… wearing a wig.

3. Georgie’s Two Divorces

Georgie is supposed to be divorced twice by the time of his The Big Bang Theory appearance. Fans love Georgie and Mandy too much to allow that to happen, so they’ve found a solution. Georgie was divorced twice – both times from Mandy (they had big fights and got divorced, deciding to be together without being legally bound to each other).

2. George’s Altered Death

Sheldon’s dad, who is supposedly a drunk and a bully, is due to pass away when Sheldon turns 14 years old. He died from a heart attack in The Big Bang Theory canon, but what if the circumstances were even direr? Unable to save his marriage and deal with guilt, George kills himself, but Mary wants to spare the kids, so she lies about the cause of his death.

1. Meemaw’s Sudden Change

Connie in Young Sheldon and Connie in The Big Bang Theory might as well be two different people. Let’s say that they were. Meemaw was murdered by the government and replaced by a CIA agent who underwent surgery to look like Connie (but not act like her). The fake Meemaw has to monitor Sheldon and the gang. Creepy, isn’t it?

Do you believe that Mandy and Georgie are endgame?
