5 Best-Rated Walking Dead Episodes, Ranked From Great to Absolutely Legendary
These episodes remind of what a great show TWD was.
Many fans have been criticizing The Walking Dead for going downhill in terms of quality. While it is true, let's remember the show's golden days. Here is the ranking of the best TWD episodes according to IMDb.
5. Thank You (S6E3) — 9.2 IMDb
In this episode the stakes were really high. The majority of the group, including Rick, was out of Alexandria to finish the plan of leading the herd of walkers as far away as possible.
But Alexandria, almost undefended, is attacked by the Wolves. In this episode many Alexandrians died, and Glenn had us all totally worried when he was surrounded by walkers at the end of the episode.
4. The Calm Before (S9E15) — 9.3 IMDb
This episode totally reignited the love for the show among many fans.
The dialogues between the characters, the music that played in the background, the cinematography, everything was just spot on. This season has managed to make the walkers scary again, and this episode shows it in the best way.
And this is the exact same episode that featured the notorious moment of heads on the pikes.
3. No Sanctuary (S5E1) — 9.6 IMDb
In the episode, Rick's group is held in Terminus, and it seems like there is no way out for them. But they managed to escape, destroying Terminus along the way.
The episode introduced the most badass version of Carol, and Rick, who was about to become his most savage self.
2. No Way Out (S6E9) — 9.6 IMDb
Mid-season premiere of the sixth season was really unsettling. The heaven on earth that Alexandria appeared to be, just gets destroyed and overrun by walkers.
Rick thought he had everything under control and could keep his new family safe: Jessie and her boys. But he ends up losing them, alongside other citizens of Alexandria.
1. Too Far Gone (S4E8) — 9.6 IMDb
Even though the previous two episodes have the same rating, many fans argue that this mid-season finale of season 4 is the best episode.
This episode was like nothing we've seen before. Too Far Gone took things to the extreme, and as a result, the group got screwed big time. They lost their home, their people, and ended up all separated from each other.
But the worst part was when the Governor straight up chopped off Hershel's head in cold blood.
