Throughout his phenomenal career, Keanu Reeves has been part of several franchises…but some of his standalone movies were so good they actually need sequels, too!

5. Point Break (1991)

In Point Break, Keanu Reeves plays an FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate a professional band of adrenaline-junkie bank robbers and in the process of investigation, realizes he doesn’t want to go back to his previous life. The 2015 remake of this crime action didn’t do it justice, but a sequel with Keanu himself totally would.

4. My Own Private Idaho (1991)

This drama follows Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix’s characters in their existential journey from Portland to Idaho and Rome in an attempt to find themselves. Seeing how this movie is a cult classic, it would be great to take a peek into its world once again; sadly, even though we’d welcome a sequel, Keanu’s co-star River died in 1993.

3. Something's Gotta Give (2003)

When you make the most unorthodox romantic comedy and add Keanu Reeves, Jack Nicholson, and Diane Keaton to the mix, you’re set for success. Something’s Gotta Give needs a sequel for the sole reason that Keanu’s Julian never got a proper ending, and we want to see how his life with Diane’s Erica went after the finale.

2. The Lake House (2006)

With quite a unique concept, The Lake House follows the relationship between Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock’s characters. Though they live in different years, their love helps them overcome this separation and catch up in time with each other in the end…and we want to see more of their chemistry in the sequel now that they’re together.

1. Constantine ( 2005)

One of the actor’s most famous movies, Constantine is the only DC project Keanu Reeves has been part of by far, but this paranormal action quickly became yet another cult classic in his resume. It’s been 18 years since the original movie came out, but now we finally have an update on a sequel: Constantine 2 is in the works, and Keanu Reeves will reprise his iconic role once again.
