Follow in the footsteps of the Buccaneers.

Buccaneers, a new adaptation of Edith Wharton's unfinished 1938 novel, is coming to Apple TV+. Set to a soundtrack by Taylor Swift and LCD Soundsystem, the show tells millennials how money and social status go hand in hand.

As the rightful heir to Bridgerton, Buccaneers also draws attention to its breathtaking setting – chic mansions, exquisite chandeliers and sprawling parks.

1. Gosford House, East Lothian, Scotland

Conchita, who has already become a fan favorite and a big sister to the other heroines, gets married in the first episode. And of course, the party takes place in a luxurious mansion.

The real name of the mansion is the Gosford House and it is located in Scotland. The street and nearby houses were created using computer graphics. The Gosford House can also be seen in the second and third seasons of historical drama Outlander.

2. Сulzean Castle, South Ayrshire, Scotland

Remember that huge castle that belongs to Theo? That is actually the Culzean Castle, with the landscape around it only slightly altered using CGI.

The castle is also located in Scotland and is a popular tourist destination. It was built relatively recently, in the 18th century, and looks more like a luxurious palace than a classic fortress. Today, the castle is an entertainment center, often hosting cultural events and exhibitions. The castle also has a restaurant and souvenir shops that are open every day.

3. Hopetoun House, South Queensferry, Scotland

However, if you decide to visit the Сulzean Castle, you will not see the interiors from the show. The interior scenes were filmed at another location, the Hopetoun House.

The Hopetoun House is a magnificent structure consisting of two houses. They are placed with their back walls facing each other. The east side was designed for the first Earl of Hopetoun in 1699, and the west side was built after 1720 and is stylized in the Baroque style.

4. Glasgow City Chambers, Glasgow, Scotland

The Debutante Ball, where Nan dropped her shoe in a cake and nearly ruined Jinny's moment of glory, was filmed at Glasgow City Chambers.

The City Chambers is one of Glasgow's most prominent architectural and historic landmarks. The building was constructed in 1888 to the design of the famous architect William Young.

In 1996, the City Chambers was opened to the public and since then, anyone can visit its magnificent halls and be impressed by its historical richness and understand why the show's greatest event was filmed here.
