4 Stranger Things Plot Holes No One Talks About For Some Reason
Despite many good choices and fantastic storylines, Stranger Things also suffers from various inconsistencies and mistakes that the Duffer brothers overlooked.
Stranger Things is an acclaimed Netflix hit, praised by fans for its unique atmosphere and compelling storyline.
But even such a well-written show, with obvious care and attention from the showrunners, cannot avoid plot holes that sharp-eyed fans will always notice.
Joyce suddenly becomes nearly immortal
It's been said that characters who are desperately needed to advance the story of the show wear a kind of plot armor.
Joyce's plane crash is a perfect confirmation of this. In one of the episodes, Joyce and Murray take a private jet to Alaska and attack their hijacker en route, taking control of the plane.
Nothing good comes of it, of course. The plane crashes, but the passengers survive. The lack of injuries at least raises questions. At most, it looks completely unrealistic.
Vecna killing Patrick
The story of Vecna's attack on Patrick also raises questions. Unlike the other victims, Patrick does not suffer from terrible insomnia and headaches.
He does not visit Ms. Kelly's psychologist and generally shows little sign of trauma. We see a few flashbacks of Patrick being abused by his father, but it's definitely not enough.
Hopper's injuries disappear
The viewers did not know that the Russian prison helps to regenerate instantly, but this is the only conclusion that can be drawn from the Hopper arc.
The hero wants to escape from the labor camp, so he asks another prisoner to break his ankle with a hammer so that he can remove and put on the chains.
This is a common trick in movies and TV shows, where characters deliberately break their arm or leg to get out of handcuffs.
However, if in other cases the characters who have suffered such an injury then show their limited mobility throughout the plot, Hopper jumps and runs barefoot like the healthiest man in Russia, trying to hide from the Demogorgons.
Police can't catch Eddie
In Stranger Things, kids are often more thoughtful and perceptive than adults. But sometimes this contrast goes beyond reason.
Robin was able to track Eddie, the suspected killer, through a video rental list, but the police, who are experts at catching criminals, can't find him in the small town.
