4 Chicago P.D. Storylines That Were a Hit And Miss, According to Fans
Chicago P.D. is an awesome show, but fans believe it could be even cooler if they changed some of the storylines.
A week ago, NBC aired the final episode of season 10 of Chicago P.D. You may know that the eleventh season was confirmed, but we’ll have to wait a while for it.
In the meantime, fans went on Reddit to discuss what they think could've been done differently in the show to make it even better. Let’s take a look at the most popular suggestions.
Alvin Olinsky shouldn’t have died
Many fans of Chicago P.D. expressed their disappointment with the decision to kill off Alvin Olinsky, a beloved character on the show. Alvin Olinsky, portrayed by actor Elias Koteas, had been a part of the series since its inception and had developed a strong fan base.
Fans believe that Alvin Olinsky's death was unnecessary and feel that his character still had much potential for further story lines.
The show should’ve given more screen time to Atwater
Fans also expressed a desire to see more of Kevin Atwater. Fans felt that Atwater's character had untapped potential and wanted to see more storylines that focused on him.
The main problem with Atwater, according to some fans, is that he is only included in the storylines somehow connected to racism.
Voight should’ve been made to answer for his crimes
Another common opinion expressed by fans of Chicago P.D. is that Voight, the central character played by Jason Beghe, should have been held accountable for his questionable actions and unethical behavior throughout the series.
Voight is known for bending the rules and crossing ethical lines in order to achieve justice, often resorting to violence or intimidation tactics.
It doesn’t mean to completely write him off, as he is still a very essential part of the series, but rather to dismiss him, for example.
They should’ve shown more of Hailey’s background
We still haven't been given much insight into Hailey Upton's backstory and the factors that shaped her personality.
Hailey Upton joined the series in season 4 and quickly became a fan favorite with her strong personality and dedication to her job.
Fans think it would be better if her background was explored more on the show.
