Sometimes directors change plans and cut even the most popular actors.

It happens that the actor is announced in the cast, but when you watch the movie, they are suddenly nowhere to be seen.

This means that the episode with him was cut out in the most merciless way.

One way or another, this happens quite often in Hollywood – either the lack of timing, or the creative considerations of the director, or some other reason is to blame.

Robert Pattinson in Vanity Fair

One of the first roles of the star of the vampire saga could be the work in the movie adaptation of William Thackeray's classic novel Vanity Fair, where the actor played the role of the son of Reese Witherspoon's character, Becky Sharp.

Scenes with his participation were not included in the theatrical version, but are on the Internet.

There is an alternative ending to the movie with Pattinson's character.

Shailene Woodley in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Mary Jane, played by Kirsten Dunst, was the love of Spider-Man's life in the Sam Raimi trilogy.

In the Marc Webb relaunch, the Spider's heart was occupied by Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone.

However, the legendary MJ could still appear in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. She was played by Shailene Woodley, star of such movie as Divergent and the series Big Little Lies.

According to the script, Mary Jane became Peter Parker's new neighbor and met Parker several times near the house – these short scenes were a backlog for a sequel.

However, Webb decided to focus the story on Peter and Gwen's relationship, so Mary's scenes were scrapped.

Jena Malone in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

In an attempt to bring the timeline in line with the theatrical norm, Zack Snyder was forced to cut a lot of episodes from his superhero movie. In particular, he completely removed Jena Malone's role.

The first news about her casting made the fans intimidated: they assumed the actress would appear as Robin or Batgirl.

However, in the extended director's cut, Malone appears as Jenet Klyburn, a lab worker who helps Lois Lane determine that there is no metal on Earth from which the bullet that struck her notebook was made.

Adele in The Death & Life of John F. Donovan

The role in Xavier Dolan's family drama was supposed to be Adele's debut, eagerly awaited by her army of fans.

Dolan himself admitted that the scenes with the singer were filmed, but while editing the tape he realized that the storyline with the Adele's character had to be eliminated.

As a result, the picture was released without the participation of the singer.
