Despite the show's near-perfect finale, many fans are still disappointed with the story as a whole.

'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' is perhaps one of the most debated Disney Plus shows based on 'Star Wars ', with some people anointing it as one of the studio's best takes on the universe, and others slamming it as one of the worst Lucasfilm projects.

Here are three things that fans point at when they argue that the show could have been better.

First of all, many people have agreed that the show seems to be stretched out, standing in between a movie and a TV show. While being a "slow-burner", 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' could definitely use a different pace, some fans argue.

"I'm middling on it. Cool moments surrounded by stretched out circumstances and gaps in logic. It feels like somebody struggled to spread a movie script across 6 episodes with a lower budget." – /M337ING.

As noted by many people, this could be due to the budget. Perhaps way too big for a movie, it seems to not be enough for a TV show, with some scenes looking undoubtedly impressive and compelling, and others being compared to fan films.

"No need to add "feels" it's exactly what it is, a movie sidelined into a TV show cuz Disney needed content for their streaming service." – /okdudebro.

Last but not least: many people have complained that Obi-Wan Kenobi looks plain weak in the show. Being "afraid" to use the Force, he explains it with the Jedi motto of choosing to defend life and not take it, but for many fans, Kenobi just wasn't impressive enough as a fighter and Luke's potential teacher.

"To make this short, his arc in this show does not match his conversation with Uncle Owen during the 1st episode. So him being afraid to use the force does not make sense because he knew he would have to train Luke at some point. Also in that same conversation he still sounds hopeful, but then his through the series he sounds hopeless and broken." – /KoaByar.

There are as many opinions as there are fans, though. For many people, 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' redeemed itself as it approached the finale, with the story's conclusion receiving accolades from pretty much every fan.

Despite the perfect ending, a lot of fans are still rallying for the show to be continued. For those who enjoyed 'Kenobi', season 2 could provide more content, and for those who slammed it for the aforementioned tweaks, it could try and make things better.

'Obi-Wan Kenobi' is currently streaming on Disney Plus, with the finale having premiered on June 22.
