3 Worst TBBT Episodes, According To IMDb
Even the iconic sitcom can have its bad times.
We can all agree that The Big Bang Theory is one of the most popular comedy shows of all time. And why wouldn't it be?
The series has it all. The quirky but genuinely entertaining characters, complex storylines, lots of jokes, and the best supporting cast.
Although sometimes even the best can fall and give the audience something undeserving. This happened to the show at least three times.
According to IMDb, the ratings for these three episodes were significantly lower than for the remaining 276 episodes.
1. 6.7/10
Episode 22 of season 10 is actually the one that got the lowest ever score in the whole show. It is called The Cognition Regeneration.
The episode is not only comparatively light on laughs, but its main plot involving Penny and Leonard is just super annoying.
Penny, at that time, has already given up on her dream of becoming an actress and instead already was a successful pharmaceutical sales rep.
And despite the fact that she was even earning big money now, she still wasn't happy about her life. But then, unexpectedly, they run into Penny's ex-boyfriend Zack, who happened to be opening a new business at that time and had a great job offer for Penny.
Well, for Leonard – that was it. He suddenly started to feel jealous about it all and made quite an embarrassment of himself.
But the worst part, however, was the storyline about Zack's fiancée being mad at him for wanting to hire Penny, which just made Leonard "right". Again.
2. 6.8/10
The second-worst episode happened earlier. It was actually the season's 9 premiere episode The Matrimonial Momentum that fans found absolutely dull. As all of us know, since the pilot of the show was aired, we got Leonard hung up on Penny.
And after trying hard for years and years he finally was about to marry her, he made something so stupid that actually is easy to call self-sabotage.
He admits that he kissed another girl while being on the boat in the North Sea years ago.
Penny said that she doesn't care, but the episode then develops in an awful way. Despite the obvious fact that they actually need to discuss the fact that Leonard has been not entirely faithful to his fiancée and lied about that for years, they just rushed through a wedding.
A wedding with none of their friends or family present.
They decided to livestream it, so the gang could watch from home, which would have been a nice thought... if the rest of their friends were interested and not caught up in their own lives.
3. 6.8/ 10
Episode 17 of season 11 titled The Athenaeum Allocation is actually just simply boring, as fans say, and that's why they don't like it. Nothing major happens in it.
The episode mostly revolves around Sheldon and Amy getting ready for their wedding.
They finally are about to see if they can have the reception at the Athenaeum, an exclusive place for members only, as Leonard used to tell him.
But when they entered the place, they actually saw Leonard and Penny just dining here. And they seemed like regulars to the place...
Well, sure that causes a beef between them, but even that is not worth the attention of fans.
