The cancellation of your favorite show is always bad news. Some of the cancelled titles, however, might still have a chance of revival.

When some shows end, audiences breathe a sigh of relief, but when fairly successful titles that many people love are suddenly canceled, we are perplexed. Here are some of them.

Hannibal

Hannibal – a series about Hannibal and Will Graham, a profiler who hunts serial killers, immediately won the hearts of many. The confrontation between two charismatic heroes spawned a wave of fanfiction that only increased the show's popularity. The series found recognition not only among fans, who quickly elevated it to cult status, but also among critics, winning a number of awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Not surprisingly, the show's sudden cancellation after its third season shocked the army of loyal fans of the cannibal and mentally unstable profiler. The show's creators cited low ratings as the reason for the cancellation.

The Punisher

The Punisher was a highlight among other Marvel shows for those who like it more brutal. The cast was near perfect and Jon Bernthal delivered just the right amount of swearing and violence on screen. However, after its second season, The Punisher was canceled, just like all the other Marvel titles on Netflix. Fans were partially prepared for this turn of events, as the relationship between Marvel and Netflix was going through a difficult time.

In addition, the Disney+ streaming service had emerged, and Marvel wanted to bring back as many of its characters as possible. Given the amount of violence in the show, it was obvious that Frank Castle wasn't going to settle for Disney when he left Netflix, because, let's face it, no one wants to watch The Punisher with a PG-13 rating.

High Fidelity

High Fidelity wasn't a banger back at the time, but it was well-received and enjoyed good reviews. In the show, Zoë Kravitz portrayed a music-obsessed record store owner with a broken heart trying to move on.

The cancellation of the show disappointed not only fans, but Zoë herself, who said killing the series "was a big mistake" when speaking to Elle.

Naturally, fans couldn't agree more.
