3 Proofs Young Sheldon And TBBT Have a Stronger Bond Than You Thought
The Young Sheldon's season 6, episode 14 named A Launch Party and a Whole Human Being is a real treasure for armchair analysts.
It really has given the true fans some interesting discoveries to make. One of many great things about prequels is that they can shed some light on our favorite storylines from the original series.
And thanks to Young Sheldon we can actually find out how they were set up in The Big Bang Theory in the first place. The main thing that happened in the episode is the birth of Mandy and Georgie's baby.
And as we already know, Sheldon's older brother, albeit slow and ignorant sometimes, still has a great soul and big heart, and can be easily likable thanks to his people skills.
So when Mandy's pregnancy unexpectedly hit him, he behaved like a brave and responsible soon-to-be father.
But life is not all sunshine and rainbows. Right before the baby was born Georgie found himself terrified of actually becoming a father. And the strangest thing happened…
Despite all the challenges in their relationship, Sheldon goes out of his way to provide comfort to his brother. Sounds familiar, right?
Yes, something like that had already happened in The Big Bang Theory, when Sheldon (unexpectedly) helped Howard to overcome the same stress his brother was dealing with.
When Wolowitz expressed his concerns about being not the best father to his baby, Sheldon surprisingly gave him genuine words of encouragement.
Another thing happened in A Launch Party and a Whole Human Being sequence that had everything to do with how Sheldon turned out in the original series.
While Mandy is in labor, George and Mary get into a big argument, both accusing each other of some kind of infidelity.
Mary saw her husband flirting with Brenda and confronted them, but Brenda herself at that moment implied that Mary should better worry about her own affair…with, clearly, pastor Rob, who is also present at the scene.
However, the whole squabble is left unresolved, but we have reasons to believe George and Mary's marriage will get worse.
So now it does not seem too unfair of Mary not to say anything good about her husband in The Big Bang Theory. And we also seem to understand now why Sheldon is copying that attitude towards his dad during the series, and rarely misses him.
Last but not least: Sheldon's older brother appeared in The Big Bang Theory as a "tire king". But what on earth could get him there? There is an explanation.
We know from The Big Bang Theory that Georgie first got married at 19, so his wife could be Mandy and this may happen soon in Young Sheldon (let's wait and see about that).
And if that's really the case – Georgie will grow closer to the McCallisters, who own a local tire shop. And then there is only the question of time before becoming Dr. Tire!
