Fans are happy enough to have Better Call Saul, but it seems they can have even more in the future.

The Breaking Bad universe has the iconic spinoff titled Better Call Saul, but it does not have to end with that as the only possible outcome.

The series really expanded the world of its parent show, but still left enough room for more intriguing plots and stories for other characters.

Fortunately, almost all of them are truly unique and have complex personalities.

So after the success of the first spinoff and its original, there are several ways to create something else.

3. How Gus Became a Monster

This spinoff could finally give fans some answers about the worst villain of both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

He plays one of the main roles in both shows, but we still know almost nothing about him except the fact that he is a pure evil drug lord. Nothing has ever been said about his upbringing.

And since we see his character, we can assume that there was definitely a childhood drama, or even several. The only personal thing we accidentally learn about Gus is that he is gay.

It was revealed in episode 9 of season 6 of Better Call Saul, in a scene with a wine bar employee. And that's all we got.

But doing a spinoff about Gustavo Fring is almost dangerous because the writers might accidentally humanize him.

And that's the path the showrunners shouldn't go down, because then all the horrible cutthroat activities he's managed to pull off for years will somehow be almost justified. Does anybody want that?

2. Mike The Cop Retrospective

We only got one glimpse of Mike Ehrmantraut as a tough, dirty Philadelphia cop in an episode of season 1, episode 6 of Better Call Saul.

And while the flashback scene in which he takes revenge on two cops for the death of his son was something to behold, it is still almost nothing compared to the number of times his cop persona has been alluded to throughout the series.

A prequel spinoff about Mike would be the most refreshing thing the franchise could offer. The first reason is that it would be completely different from anything we have seen before, starting with the setting.

No Albuquerque this time, no deserts. Totally new aesthetics. The timing of the spinoff could be close to the 1970s.

So it would mean that the creators would have to recast the lead in the show, which is also an intriguing twist.

1. An Anthology Series After Breaking Bad

Heisenberg had a huge impact on ABQ and the criminal underworld, and rubbed shoulders with so many different criminals.

Even though he died and his empire was crushed, that doesn't mean that crime just went away in that city.

Crime and crystal meth are probably still running rampant in Albuquerque, and someone must have replaced Heisenberg.

There are still a lot of loose ends when it comes to the aftermath of the show, and an anthology series where each episode follows a different Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul character could be the most perfect way to explore that.
