Plot armor or just lazy writing? We'll never know.

The younger Winchester brother alone has a lot of plot holes in the show, even without Dean. Supernatural is not the most sensible and realistic show in the world, but these three plot holes still bother fans to this day.

Sam's body was fine after hell

We all know that Sam has been through a lot over the course of 15 seasons. At the beginning of his journey with Dean, Sam basically had to jump right into Lucifer 's cage to save humanity. This led to him spending over a century in Hell because Castiel brought back his body, but not his soul. However, his soulless body was perfectly fine to be "inhabited" again after all this time — something that should not have been possible.

Sam's bloodlust

Over the course of the first two seasons, Sam became heavily addicted to demon blood, not least because of Ruby.

It was a huge problem for the Winchesters, but apparently all it takes to get rid of bloodlust is a little century-long trip to Hell. Otherwise, how in the world did Sam get rid of his addiction upon his return?

Sam curing Dean of being a demon

Gabriel or Loki? Richard Speight Jr Explains His Character in The Winchesters

Flash forward to later seasons, when Sam (obviously with a lot of experience dealing with demons) had to cure his brother of being a demon. We all remember how big of a struggle it was for him in season 8 when he underwent the same procedure with Crowley. Basically, Sam almost died back then. Well, when he had to do the same thing to Dean, it went surprisingly well, with hardly any damage done. Oh, and what happened to curing a demon being part of sealing Hell? Yeah, you remember right — nothing.

Guess things are a little different when a Winchester brother is involved, huh?
