3 Major Storylines Virgin River Needs To Cover in Season 5
As dramatic as the season 4 finale was, we could expect any twists in season 5.
Now as Netflix finally made it clear that we can expect the new season to be released this fall, it means there would be a lot of follow ups from the season 4 cliffhangers. A lot of stories need to be resolved.
There are three of the biggest storylines that fans think should be covered in the first place.
1. Melissa and her awful plan
Seems like the series is getting a new villain after all! Melissa came up in season’s 4 finale, and now is going to inherit Calvin’s drug business.
Jack and Mel met her, and although they have known for a long time that Calvin is a threat to the city, Melissa's intentions were not so clear.
After all, Melissa has real potential to be an even more formidable enemy to Virgin River, but only time will tell if that's the case.
2. Brie and her haunting past
Brie is one of Virgin River's newest cast members, and having her past come back to get her is something that season 5 of the series will have to deal with.
At the finale of Virgin River season 4, Brie's abusive ex, Don, comes to Virgin River to force Brie to sign an NDA about what happened between them.
In light of the unfinished story and emotional turmoil surrounding all that, Brie confronting her past by suing Don really has to be featured in show's season 5. If Brie does file that lawsuit, this could be a huge storyline for the season.
3. The return of an ex
Virgin River season 5 may also feature an introduction to an important love interest from Jack's past.
It's a big Virgin River storyline that Mel used to be married, but it's not as well known that Jack used to be married, too.
Introducing her ex-wife would also give a rare insight into Jack’s past personal life before he moved to Virgin River, which would add depth to his character in season 5.
