Not many shows are universally loved by the fans. If we are being honest, probably none are. To each their own, right?

Some shows, however, get a lot less hate than others. Now, don't throw any tomatoes at us, but let's talk about three iconic shows that, in retrospect, might be a little overrated.

Parks and Recreation

OK, hear us out first. Parks and Rec has been a fan-favorite from the beginning, and many consider it their "comfort show" (when we say many, we mean us).

However, fans do feel that Rob Lowe might have been more of a miss than a hit in the role of Chris Traeger.

Aside from the Stop Pooping scene that still lives in our heads rent-free, many find the character annoying and cite Lowe's portrayal of him as the main reason. Chris's overly positive attitude is surely not for everyone, is it?

Boy Meets World

Where are our '80s and '90s babies at? Long before Disney 's less successful Girl Meets World, we had the perfect school-set sitcom of the '90s and watched the love story of Cory and Topanga unfold on Boy Meets World (and subsequently mess up our own romantic relationship expectations).

We know that you don't want to hear this, but their love story may not be that perfect. Some fans have gone so far as to say that "Topanga gave up too much to be with Cory."

We mean… she gave up Yale, the top-notch college, to be with Cory, so the criticism might be valid.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

If you thought that fans only complain about live-action shows, think again. They have plenty to say about animated shows too!

While people acknowledge that Avatar: The Last Airbender is a great series, they are pretty pissed about how the whole "giving Aang energy bending" arc was handled. Fans expected more of a build-up to it and were disappointed.

Season 3 is another thing that many are not happy about. People say that "speedrunning the plot" kind of ruined the plot in the end.

For instance, Aang learned firebending in just a day, and Sokka became an expert swordsman in one day too. Wouldn't it be great if you could acquire skills that fast in real life though?

Sure, these shows are still loved by many and bring nostalgia to our hearts and souls whenever we hear a mention of them.

Does it really matter that they are not perfect then? It is up to you to decide.
