3 Big Bang Theory Storylines So Useless Fans Still Can't Let It Go
The Big Bang Theory series is full of odd twists and unexpected endings.
Almost every time something happens on this show, we know there is a reason for it, and there will always be different consequences. But when the writers throw in some "just in case" storylines, it never seems like a good idea.
There are several storylines that fans found absolutely annoying and useless.
Leonard cheating on Penny
Penny and Leonard decided to elope in Las Vegas in the season nine premiere. However the episode turned out just sad, because on their way to the chapel Leonard made an unexpected confession "not to start marriage with a secret".
He admitted his cheating on Penny while being away at sea. The whole existence of that plot turn is so absurd. Leonard is not the cheating type, that we know for sure.
But even if writers decided that he in fact is, what was the point? To break them up? Sometimes it seems that even the writers don't know the answer.
Amy's desire to be intimate with Sheldon
Amy's character started out more robot than human. But over time, she even became a "cool girlfriend" as she found her way into Sheldon's life and became an integral member of their social group.
Part of her character was a brilliant scientist, but the other part was... a horny girlfriend not getting any. In the show, she was often mocked for this, and fans felt uncomfortable because it happened so often that they couldn't handle it.
Some fans also found this "humorous" storyline offensive and rather tired.
Raj not finding love
Even despite the fact that Raj was the only person in the show that was genuinely loyal and romantic, he never found his true love.
Among his three male friends he was actually the one who was ready to get married and have kids. But instead, writers gave him this path of loneliness and broken relationships.
Fans still feel sorry for Raj as they never saw him end up with someone special.
