3 Actors Who Are Criminally Underrated, According to Reddit
Unfortunately, some actors are remembered by audiences for only one role, some go on long hiatuses or stop acting altogether.
And while some are still trying to break through the thorns of the film industry, the popularity of others is fading.
Some great performers, on the other hand, do not receive enough fame. A great example of this is Michael Biehn, who starred in many of James Cameron 's movies, but failed to become a big screen star.
That's why Reddit users decided to remember people who definitely deserve more attention from filmmakers, and whose careers could be much bigger.
First, most Redditors agreed that none other than Timothy Olyphant deserved a lot more career attention, arguing that he "could have been bigger" than he was.
Olyphant is best known for his supporting roles on the big screen, although he became the star of the western series Justified.
However, fans' love for the actor returned after he played Cobb Vanth in the Disney series The Mandalorian. Still, you have to keep in mind the fact that the actor himself turned down many roles.
Perhaps he only takes on roles that really interest him, which is to be applauded.
Then, many supported Minnie Driver, who starred in the iconic comedy Grosse Pointe Blank and Gus Van Sant's drama Good Will Hunting.
And although the face of the 90s occasionally appears in movies and TV shows, people clearly lament the greater heights the actress could have reached: "Couldn't agree more. She should have been as big as Sandra Bullock", Redditor BillRuddickJrPhd regrets.
Finally, last but not least is Cary Elwes. The actor is known for numerous roles from the 80s to the present in such movies as The Princess Bride (1987), Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), and the Saw series.
Nonetheless, it seems like his recent roles are not the most memorable:
"After that, besides another iconic turn in Saw he was just in one shitty project after another until he resurfaced in Stranger Things recently. Like… I looked at his filmography and I recognize only a few of the things he's been in all century", Redditor jeremy1015 reflects.
All in all, regardless of popularity, these are still great actors who deserve to be noticed by audiences and studios alike.
