We’re the kings of nerds!

The Big Bang Theory stayed with us for 12 seasons, and there wasn't an episode that didn't make us laugh. The main characters Raj, Leonard, Howard and Sheldon delivered so many hilarious lines throughout the show that it was hard to let them go.

So we thought we'd save these quotes in our minds and use them in our everyday lives.

1. Bazinga!

Yes, of course the list starts with this one. "Bazinga" is probably the most famous quote that belongs to Sheldon. Who knows if it was meant to be so popular, but it is what it is, and now we can use "Bazinga" when we want to make fun of someone, laugh at something, or even scare someone. It's really here to stay.

2. That’s my spot!

Probably the line Sheldon said in almost every episode of the show. The thing is, he had his favorite spot on the sofa, which was perfectly within his own weird parameters (there was something about wind and distance from the TV). Everyone was so annoyed that they decided it was easier to just give up and never take his seat. You can try it too, see the reaction...

3. Oh gravity. Thou art a heartless b*tch!

One of the rare times Sheldon used a curse word was when the lovesick Leonard wanted to do something for Penny and agreed to take her delivery package. What he didn't realize was that it was going to be so big. And with no working elevator in the building, the package just kept sliding down the stairs, causing the guys so much trouble. Still, it left us with this iconic line.

4. Oh, honey, the buses don't go where you live, do they?

It was something Penny said to Sheldon in episode 7 of season 2, right after the mere fact that she had touched his onion ring had caused her a lot of trouble. Penny hit him with the one-liner suggesting that Sheldon might actually be crazy to be nervous about things like that. Nice way of saying someone's cuckoo without actually saying it, right?

5. Was that sarcasm?

One of the longest running gags on the show was Sheldon not understanding when someone was being sarcastic to him. This created a lot of hilarious moments on the show. However, after a while he began to notice that there was something wrong with people's tone, and just to be sure, he would ask a fair question. However, we suggest using it to imply that you actually know the answer.

6. I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested!

As a scientist, Sheldon absolutely hates false accusations and unproven theories. That's why whenever anyone dares to suggest that he might be insane, he proves them wrong by presenting the real facts about his childhood. But we think the phrase can be used every day, even if your mother didn't test you.

7. If I could, I would but I can't so I shan't

To understand this better, recall the scene in the university cafeteria where the guys were talking about Penny and Raj's supposed night together. Sheldon never believed it was true, so when Leonard told him to drop it, Sheldon said a line only he could ever say out loud. So now when you are told to let something go, you know what to say.

8. Social Convention dictates…

One of Sheldon's greatest qualities is that when social convention dictates something, he will do it, even if he doesn't want to. For example, his social rule of bringing a hot beverage to anyone who is sad while being his guest is actually the sweetest thing ever. Maybe you can also use it in your life?

9. Holy cr*p on a cracker!

In the whole show, sometimes Penny alone seemed like the sanest person. However, sometimes she was just too chill about many things in her life, let it be phone bills or the light on her car dashboard panel. However, some things still can make her gasp in shock. And this phrase is exactly what she would say.

10. Game over, Moonpie

This line said by Wil Wheaton is one of the show’s most hilarious moments. Wheaton was Sheldon’s archenemy for years, but then one day while playing cards Wil told him that it wasn’t his fault that he hurt Sheldon. After a heartfelt story about Wil's granny, Sheldon told Wil about his own grandma and that she calls him Moonpie. It was then when Wheaton hurt him again…

11. Oh, my God, you're about to jibber-jabber about jibber-jabber

Nobody likes it when someone talks too long and his stories take years to finish, and we all know that Sheldon is a person who does that all the time. So when Penny told him that she actually missed his stories, a.k.a. his jibber-jabber, he was confused. He then tried to tell Penny the origin of the phrase "jibber-jabber," which gave us this iconic Penny line that will definitely stick with us.

12. Knock, knock, knock…

The knocking gag is also one of the longest in the show, but every time it happens on screen, it's just impossible to stop laughing. The best thing about it is the fact that Sheldon doesn't do the three-knock routine to annoy people, but he really can't do it any other way. Although, in our case, it can serve as a way to play on somebody's nerves.

13. Interesting fact!

Sheldon would begin about 50 percent of his conversations with people with that phrase, no matter how interesting the fact actually is. Almost every time someone in the gang heard it, they immediately pulled unhappy faces and knew what was coming. So if you're going to tell someone a long and boring story, it's probably best to start like Sheldon.

14. People say you can’t live without love, I think oxygen is more important

It's also something only Sheldon could have ever said. His way of thinking is actually so sweet and naive that it makes you go "aw." Anyway, we should thank him for giving us a phrase to use every time our deeply in love friends tell us their romantic stories and how they can't live without someone.

15. Robert Oppenheimer was lonely

Season 4 gave fans of the show a chance to see Sheldon Cooper become the male scientist equivalent of a cat lady. It was the time when Amy broke up with him, and he suddenly decided it was time to have lots of cats at home and make them his friends. Oppenheimer was the name of his first cat, one of six named after great scientists. So, in case you’re struggling with a pet name…
