10 Hidden Gem Heist Movies of the Last 10 Years on Netflix, Prime & More
Who doesn't love a good heist?
Movies centered around that plot usually have a team of vastly different individuals applying their skills in order to get somewhere or get something from a very secure place, and the way they overcome the obstacles of security systems or whatever is always entertaining. But not every heist movie gets the recognition it deserves, and some fly under the radar.
Heist-related plots have been around for quite some time, so they were bound to generate some of the tropes that prevail in the works.
When the filmmakers try to spice it up, it can lead either to startling success (Now You See Me with illusionists using some very cool trickery to get what they want), or to confusion (The Score that morphed the heist action plot with the musical).
One of the most successful combos, however, is a mix of heist and comedy, so the only reason why you probably didn't hear about The Delinquents is the language barrier and its limited availability on streaming services all over the world.
But remember: people's tastes are different, and even if critics praise the movie, it still can end up being not your cup of tea.
