10 Facts About Everything Everywhere All At Once That Will Blow Your Mind Just Like the Movie Did
Of all the places we could be, we just want to be here with you telling you about the most wholesome behind-the-scenes moments of the multiverse masterpiece.
Here is our top 10 list.
1. A Woman Tries to Do Her Taxes
Films usually tend to have fake names in order to keep a secret about their production. So, before Everything Everywhere All At Once saw the light, its working title was A Woman Tries to Do Her Taxes — quiet on the theme, right?
2. No Extra Classes
A new generation this time can do everything and even more. People who created all the CGI for the film didn't even take visual effects courses. They literally learned how to do it in their beds during the pandemic.
3. Shot In Less Than 40 Days
The complicity of the movie and the diversity of shots can't put in our heads the fact that the Daniels took only 40 days to end the filming. True GOATs.
4. Jackie Chan Was The First Choice
We could be deprived of Michelle Yeoh's outstanding performance as the directors first offered the lead role to Jackie Chan.
Though Jackie would look specifically tailored in the movie, we are more than grateful for letting Michelle be the main character of the universe.
5. The Movie Over Loki Series
To make their idea come true the Daniels had to pass on another multiverse project. It is what it is, and we would not have it any other way, because both Loki and Everything Everywhere All At Once turned out to be masterpieces.
6. Different Titles
International titles for the film include 瞬息全宇宙 — In an Instant, the Entire Universe — in China, 奇異女俠玩救宇宙 — Weird Woman Warrior F***s Around and Saves the Universe —in Hong Kong, and 媽的多重宇宙 — So F***ing Many Universes — in Taiwan.
7. Jamie Lee Curtis' Wish
Jamie Lee wanted to present her character Deirdre, the IRS employee, as a normal real woman. She wanted her to wear regular clothes and accessories, have a usual haircut, and use no concealer to hide her imperfections.
8. Harry Potter In Multiverse
Fans could get a chance to see Daniel Radcliffe return to the big role on the screen, but, unfortunately, he had to turn down the offer as he was already busy in the play.
However, Daniel admitted that the Daniels are the only directors he would agree to work with without even reading a script. Who knows, maybe we will see a project with three Daniels in the future.
9. Real Red-Carpet Footage
In the movie-star universe the Daniels used real footage of Michelle Yeoh's red carpet moments. You can even see her in front of a sign of her other big project Crazy Rich Asians.
10. Ke Huy Quan Is Back After 20 Years
That's how many years this brilliant actor had to stay in the shadows after his last role on the big screen. His triumphant return is one of the best things to happen in movie history and we can't wait to see him get all the Oscars in the world.
