You didn't think you were getting out of it without the heartbreak, right?

Warning: the following article contains spoilers for 'Stranger Things 4' Volume 2

It's finally happening: the epic 'Stranger Things' season 4 finale has arrived to break fans' hearts by – naturally – killing off several characters. Some of them we love, some of them we hate, and some of them might as well have been gone and we wouldn't care.

If you are ready to bid adieu to all three, then we got you.

Among the first ones to fall victim to Volume 2 was Dr. Brenner, or, as Eleven would call him, "Papa". In fact, it's not like a lot of people seem to be mourning this death too much. Even Eleven sought to calm Vecna down by telling him that "Papa is dead".

Still, for some people this death was saddening because for them it seemed like Brenner cared about the kids he was experimenting on. Something that felt particularly painful was that Papa died without Eleven actually forgiving him.

Other people, however, argued that Brenner's experiments were way too cruel for fans to truly be sad about his death.

You know who else is unlikely to be mourned? Jason, the schoolboy who has been hunting Eddie down after Chrissy's death. A lot of fans have been saying they would be glad if he died; well, the Duffer brothers delivered.

Jason died as the Upside Down started to take over the real world, split in two by cracks that tear through the ground in Hawkins. While the majority of people sighed with relief, unpopular opinions also resurfaced.

"Mind u Jason's girlfriend literally vanished and he has NO idea what the upside down is he literally just wants justice for Chrissy, I hope he turns and joins them he deserves better and so did Chrissy." – @gravebtch.

But a certain character's death, albeit called by many fans before the premiere, has undoubtedly broken many hearts. Yes, Eddie Munson has also fallen victim to the epic finale, sacrificing himself to save his friends and absolutely smashing that guitar in the process.

Delivering a Metallica song, Eddie gets eaten alive by bats, which is a truly horrible way to go for someone who decided not to run away for the first time in his life.

Naturally, this death has become one of the most emotional moments in the season, with many fans already rioting online and demanding "justice" for their favorite character, whose life, they believe, could have easily been saved if it wasn't for the Duffer brothers' decision to pull off a "shock factor".

"Everyone that is saying that Eddie's death is "pointless" or "makes no sense" are all wrong,

Eddie didn't just buy more time for everyone even if they didn't need it,

But most importantly the bigger picture is that he had to prove to himself that he's not a coward and that he is the hero type and instead of running he fought! and he died fighting instead of running." – /Jmare87.

With all the drama and heartbreak that it brought to fans, 'Stranger Things 4' Volume 2 is currently streaming on Netflix.
