Young Sheldon Just Got a Huge Update Everyone Was Waiting For

Young Sheldon may be gone, but most of its characters won’t follow its suit.

Though the show’s spinoff titled Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is still months away from being released, social media is already full of various fan theories offering a new perspective on Georgie and Mandy ’s relationship, but, most of all, hoping for other Coopers’ comeback to the story.

Now that most of the fans’ expectations have been confirmed, there’s another big mystery left to be unveiled by the upcoming spinoff, and it has something to do with Young Sheldon’s major character.

According to Variety, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 1 will also feature Zoe Perry as Mary Cooper, Annie Potts as Meemaw and Raegan Revord as Missy.

Fans may be feeling a bit bittersweet as it’s still hard to reconcile with George Sr.’s death and the fact that Lance Barber will never reprise his role again, yet there’s still another exciting return that fans can expect to see.

According to the future show’s executive producer Chuck Lorre, Sheldon’s actor Iain Armitage isn’t confirmed to return to the story so far, but Lorre himself still hopes to reunite Sheldon with his family after he was sent off to college in Young Sheldon’s season 7 finale.

The news comes as an especially exciting update for those who felt bad about Missy’s closure in Young Sheldon.

Upon the spinoff’s announcement back in March, Missy’s actress Raegan Revord revealed that she hadn’t been invited to reprise her role in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and thus got frustrated about the creators’ lack of ideas for her character to finally make it up to her after everything Missy had been through.

Now that Sheldon’s twin sister is definitely coming back, the franchise may finally fix the issue and give Missy the proper development she always deserved.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will premiere on CBS later this year.
