Worst Prediction for Ahsoka’s Finale Came True Big Time, and Fans Are Pissed
Most of the exciting storylines ended with annoying cliffhangers, and there is no indication when we will get any sort of resolution to them.
Content Warning: This article contains spoilers to Ahsoka ’s finale.
As the Ahsoka TV series approached its finale, more and more fans began to worry that the show would not be able to wrap up many of its storylines in a satisfying way, if at all.
Now that the show's eighth and final episode has finally been released, it is clear that the worst possible prediction has become a sad reality. Watch out for the spoilers ahead.
The series ended on a massive cliffhanger (literally, in one instance, with a character standing on a cliff) that may rightly frustrate many fans.
Although it revealed Grand Admiral Thrawn's plan to build an army of undead stormtroopers using the magic of the Nightsisters, the villain managed to elude our heroes and arrive on Dathomir to carry on with his plans.
Ezra Bridger, stranded in another galaxy for many years, was able to return home, but at a cost, as Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren essentially took his place, and now they are left behind millions of light years away.
But the fact that the stories of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati remain unfinished is probably even more painful, considering that Ray Stevenson, who played Baylan, passed away in May 2023, and many fans were hoping that his character would meet his end in an epic duel or some other great way.
Unfortunately, the last time we see them is when Shin returns to the Peridean native bandits, while Baylan stands ominously on a cliff, looking at some kind of energy beam in the distance and searching for the mysterious power buried on the planet.
It is obvious that Skoll is up to something big, and without Ray Stevenson, the character will either be recast or his storyline will be scrapped altogether, which is the worst possible scenario.
The worst part of all this is that the show hasn't been renewed for season 2 yet, so we won't get any answers for quite some time, at least two years, given the current situation in Hollywood.
To add insult to injury, season 2 might not happen at all if these setups are meant to be resolved in the upcoming "Mando-verse movie," which intends to wrap up the stories of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.
In this case, it may take fans even longer to get a resolution to these cliffhangers, maybe five to seven years, since we don't even know when The Mandalorian TV series will end.
All of this is incredibly disappointing and frustrating because the setup for the coming events is very intriguing, but it will take a very long time to finally see where it leads to.
