Even Homelander could argue with the obnoxious qualities of this person.

The show gave viewers an incredible number of memorable characters. The series is known for its satire of modern politicians and for redefining the myth of superheroes. In The Boys, there is no clear line between heroes and villains.

An analog of Superman kills people with lasers from his eyes, Stormfront, a member of the main team to save humanity, The Seven, is actually a fascist, and A-Train runs over people at incredible speeds and gets away with it.

However, the series has not only featured bad Supes, but also ordinary people who have just fallen into such a life. One of the most hated characters is Todd, the current partner of MM's ex-wife.

Todd doesn't want to get involved in MM's problems, keeps his daughter on his side and simply adores Homelander, even though he has done a lot of damage to humanity.

But the most repulsive person in the series is still Billy Butcher's father, played by the talented John Noble. It is worth mentioning that the actor is perfectly capable of performing the role of a disgusting parent.

In fact, he managed to portray a disgruntled relative in Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, where Noble appears as Denethor, Faramir's father, who sends his son on a deadly mission to Osgiliath.

What makes Sam Butcher so revolting is his complete lack of remorse and empathy for his child. In a heartbreaking scene, the leader of The Boys confronts his father in an attempt to find answers and make sense of the traumatic events that have haunted him for years.

Instead of showing any semblance of understanding or regret, Sam dismisses the pain of his only remaining loved one, revealing his callous and unfeeling nature.

Rather than admit his mistakes, Butcher Sr. justifies his violence by claiming that it hardened Billy and made him the most fearless and toughest man he could be.

Who is worse: Homelander or Sam Butcher?

But even when his father disappeared from The Boys leader's life, the childhood traumas and nightmares wouldn't let him go.

When Butcher faced Mindstorm in season 3, the telepathic Supe placed Billy in a world of memories where the protagonist confronted his horrific past, but it's unlikely he'll ever be able to forget it now.
