Keeping Up With American Horror Story Season 12.

American Horror Story, the brainchild of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, has been a popular anthology series for more than a decade. Each season, while featuring some recurring cast members in different roles, tells a self-contained story with its own theme, characters, and setting.

Since its debut in 2011, American Horror Story has covered a wide range of horror subgenres, including haunted houses, asylums, witches, freak shows, cults, and more.

Over the past 12 years, the AHS series has also featured some of the biggest names in acting, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates, all of whom gave unforgettable performances throughout the series.

While American Horror Story has written off its original cast over the course of 11 seasons — starting with Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates, and now Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters — the showrunners haven't stopped churning out new seasons of the horror franchise.

With the new American Horror Story: Delicate season 12 announcement, many fans expressed their doubts and worries as the past seasons didn't seem to resonate with the viewers like the first ones.

With the departure of all the main actors and only Emma Roberts' comeback in the upcoming season, the pressure continues to grow.

But despite all the shortcomings, Season 12 has the potential to get the AHS franchise back on track.

American Horror Story: Delicate takes risks by casting Kim Kardashian, the star of the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and exploring the theme of pregnancy.

While the risks may seem absurd at first glance, they may be exactly what the show needs to take.

Moreover, the new season is a departure from previous ones as it is the first to be based on a book, specifically Danielle Valentine's novel Delicate Condition. The adaptation of a novel is a new direction for the show and could potentially be a revival for it.

Compared to the fragmented storytelling of past seasons like Apocalypse and 1984, the upcoming season’s focus on a single storyline is a significant improvement of the show.

With Kim Kardashian bringing a fresh perspective to the show and the showrunners' decision to embrace the opportunity for better storytelling on American Horror Story: Delicate has all the potential to bring back the AHS that the fans once fell in love with.
